Sending Work Station Messages as Status Messages. An active work station
message queue is normally in either break mode or notify mode. If you normally
receive many messages (e.g. batch job has completed), break mode causes an
interruption on each message. Notify mode requires that you use DSPMSG. The
STSMSG function describes how to turn some or all message IDs into status
messages so they can be seen without causing an interruption.
