WRKDBFUNIT WORK DATA BASE FILE UNIT TAADBOM |
The Work Data Base File Unit command provides a display with options
to change the suggested location of the data base files to either
*ANY or *SSD.
It's important to note that requesting a file to be placed on SSD is
not a guarantee. It will only be relocated there if there is room.
Here is where another feature of Work Data Base File Unit is
extremely helpful in assisting with SSD management. The work display
provides an alternate view to display disk space usage, allowing the
user to see which files are completely or partially stored on SSD.
The user can then change the UNIT attribute of certain files to
ensure the most important files are completely stored on SSD for
optimal system performance.
A typical command would be:
WRKDBFUNIT FILE(LIBNAME/*ALL)
All data base files in the specified library would be displayed.
