DSPCMDHLP DISPLAY COMMAND HELP TAACMEY
The Display Command Help command displays the help text for a system or user command including commands the user is not authorized to. The command is useful for such functions as attempting to simulate the system command line function. The QCAPCMD API is used. The typical command would be: DSPCMDHLP CMD(xxx) The command help would be displayed. The command is not prompted for and is not run. Only the help text is displayed. Security considerations ----------------------- The command processing program adopts the authority of QSECOFR. This allows any user to display the help text of any command. There is no capability to run a command from the display of the help text. Pressing Enter causes a return to the invoking function such as a command line. DSPCMDHLP escape messages you can monitor for --------------------------------------------- TAA9891 The command object cannot be found. Escape messages from based on functions will be re-sent. Command parameters *CMD ------------------ CMD The qualified name of the command to display help text for. The library value defaults to *LIBL. A specific library or *CURLIB may also be used. Restrictions ------------ The command may only be entered interactively.
